The Society for Ethnobiology's Seattle chapter focuses around active and participatory events that provide a chance for the public to learn more about the field of Ethnobiology. In the past, we've hosted speakers, held weaving workshops and restoration work parties. Focus areas include ethnobotany, ethnoarchaeology, food sovereignty, indigenous nutrition and more, with members including students, faculty, and staff at University of Washington. We're currently headquartered at the university, but would like to expand our chapter to include Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area.
