Dr. Richard Saunders will lead a short walk (2 miles round trip, paved) to look north across the valley. He will talk about the local geography of regional Paiute subsistence cycles, and point out the local terrain along the Old Spanish Trail (1776–1850) and "Southern route to California" of the gold rush (1848–1852).
