NSF-Sponsored Graduate Fellowships
in Paleoethnobotany
Fellowships are available to study ancient land-use activities of the ancient Maya at the Pre-Classic site of Yaxnocah, Mexico. Activities will include tropical forest surveys, herbarium specimen collection, archaeological excavation, flotation processing and analysis of plant macro- and micro-remains using light and electron microscopy in a newly renovated laboratory.
