We love to see our young ethnobiologists at the annual conference, and they are welcome (free of charge, of course, except for the banquet). We also welcome caregivers to attend the conference (without a registration fee).

We are planning on offering a child-friendly space, that will be available throughout the day during the conference. The space will be an inviting atmosphere where kids of all ages (accompanied by a caregiver) can take a break. Coloring, crafts, games, storytelling, and even a daily outdoor activity will be there to help your child(ren) have a great experience at the Conference.

Our children/family space will not be staffed by a licensed childcare provider, however, as it is not feasible for us to offer full daycare/nanny services. If you need that, please make arrangements directly with Osprey Occasional Child Care before coming to the conference. They provide drop-in childcare and are located on the south side of the fourth floor of the UBC Nest. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7:30–18:30, and Saturday 9:30–16:30. Services are available for $20 per hour.
