Dear Society Members,

At a time when many around the world are feeling heightened uncertainty about issues they care about deeply, the leadership of the Society of Ethnobiology wants to affirm our commitment to our values.

We are committed to promoting bio-cultural diversity.  We will continue to conduct and support high calibre research that recognizes and explores the multiple ways in which the lives and livelihoods of local peoples are intertwined with their ecologically and geographically diverse worlds.  We will also continue to encourage scholarship and engaged community reserach that combats anger, mistrust, and racism, and that recognizes all communities of the world ultimately benefit from cultural and ecological diversity.
